The server that was home to 911hitz somehow became corrupt early in the morning on 11/06/2005.
Unfortunately the drive that the site was on is unable to be restored, this is not a big deal as we have multiple copies of the website itself, the datbase was not located on this drive however our daily backup files were.
The database was located on 4 drives configured in a RAID array, this array was also affected by the corruption, but not completely, 2 of the drives still contain data, yet as of right now I have been unsucessful at recovering it.
I now realize what a serious mistake it was keeping my daily backup files on the same machine as the website, regardless of the fact they were on separate drives.
The most recent backup file I have been able to locate is over 1 month old, now I have not given up on the fact that I might still be able to recover the data that still exists.
But seeing as it has now been 2 days, it is time for me to begin plan B, because in order for me to complete plan B it is also going to take some time.
We do have records of all upgrade transactions for the last 3 months so we will be able to restore your accounts. This however is going to take some time to complete.
I plan to reconstruct the missing data and I should be able to do this with the records that we do still have.
I am estimating this should take anywhere from 2-4 days to complete
This is a fairly large challenge, but I got myself into this mess, and those of you that know me should know that I will get us out of it as well
